Thanks for another edition of the Villagers to me its worth £12 a year just to read Ramblings of the Manse .
The BBC Alba programme is something we will be looking out for next year . When I read about some stones it reminded me of a trip out we once had through Glen Beich with my grandparents . I would have been about six years old and it was a dark overcast day when we sat down by some stones and we had something to eat .My gran then told us the Romans had been through the glen and left stones that they had chiseled away . This tale was never mentioned again but does anyone know if the Romans were through Glen Beich .
Thanks Michael. I agree with you – Russel’s piece is always worth pondering. Thank you for taking out a subscription – we are still trying to persuade people to do likewise.
I like the Glen Beich memory… perhaps we could include it next issue?

Congratulations on keeping TV alive. It’s so important and well worth every penny. Lovely autumn photos in this October issue and plenty of good articles to enjoy as the evenings grow darker and longer. Many thanks to everyone on the team
